PITTSFORD QUEST MEETING RESCHEDULED--11/5

SUPER SALE UPDATE AND CORRECTION
Donations and consignments for the Pittsford PTSA Super Sale will be accepted at the Mendon High Gym from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18.
The district calendar incorrectly reads 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Any items left at the door Saturday evening or Sunday will be disposed of by Mendon custodial staff. The PTSA Super Sale apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. Additional donation/consignment drop off times are Monday and Tuesday, October 20 and 21 from 9:00AM to 7:00PM. Volunteers are always needed at the Super Sale. It's a great way for dads and teens to get involved. To sign up or receive more information on volunteering, contact Robyn at lgage1@rochester.rr.com. Volunteers are eligible to shop the Volunteer Presale on Wednesday, October 22nd from 1:00-7:00PM. DID YOU LOSE IT ON THE BUS? Has your child lost a lunch bag, sweatshirt, folder, etc. since school started? Good chance that it is in the Lost and Found at the PCSD Transportation Department across from MCE! Stop in and search. You may get lucky.
PASS (PITTSFORD ADVOCATES FOR SPECIAL STUDENTS) MEETING--OCTOBER 7
Please come and meet other parents who are interested or involved with the special education system. The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 am. at the Pittsford Speigel Community Center located at 35 Lincoln Avenue in Pittsford. We will meet in room 102. Guests for this meeting are leaders of VOICE, an independent parent group in the Victor School District. We will have a roundtable discussion to collaborate and to share ideas. Please join us. SHS BOYS VARSITY SOCCER GAME & FOOD/USED SOCCER EQUIPMENT COLLECTION--10/15
The Sutherland Boys Varsity Soccer team will be playing their final home game Wednesday, October 15 at 4:30 against rivals Victor at SHS. This game will be dedicated as The Senior Recognition Game. We will be honoring the Senior players and their families with a special presentation before the game. Please come out and support SHS Boys Varsity Soccer and the Seniors as they wind up their regular season and look towards sectionals. GO KNIGHTS!
There will collection boxes at the stadium on 10/15 for donations of used soccer equipment and canned goods/nonperishable that the boys are collecting for their community service projects Passback and the Pittsford Food Cupboard. Clean out those closets and cupboards to help those less fortunate. PITTSFORD LIBRARY BOOK SALE--10/24-26
Friends of the Pittsford Library are sponsoring a Fall Book Sale at the Pittsford library, 24 State St., Pittsford, NY on Friday, October 24 to Sunday, October 26, 2008. Thousands of books, CDs, audio tapes and DVD’s are available. Admission is free on Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds benefit the Pittsford Library.
The sale starts with a Friend’s night from 5 PM-8: 30 PM on October 24. You can join at the door. The sale continues 10am-5pm on Saturday October 25. Everything is half price on Sunday October 26 from 10am to 4pm. Fill a bag for $3 from 5pm to 6pm on October 26.
PITTSFORD HOME RUN DERBY--10/12
Calling all sluggers! (ages 9-18) Come hit at the Pittsford Home Run Derby, a fundraiser for Mendon Baseball Boosters, on Sunday, October 12 at Bob Ford Field! Round 1 starts at 9 am and the finals are at 4:30 pm. Tickets cost just $10 and can be purchased at Ford Field during Little League games this Saturday, October 4 between 9am and 4 pm. Saturday, November 1, 9:30 am -1:00 pm, Pittsford Community Library
Free practice ACT test administered by Kaplan Test Center under timed conditions identical to the real tests. Scores may be picked up at the library about 2 weeks later and are not sent to colleges or the College Board. No obligation to sign up for Kaplan courses after taking this test.
