Welcome to the Thornell Road Elementary School PTSA Webpage! Introduction Welcome to the PTSA of Thornell Road Elementary School. We are extremely proud of our community and invite you to become familiar with our Thornell Road Elementary School family. Many parents have expressed an interest in better understanding how we function. Our section of the Pittsford District PTSA web site has been developed to help answer your questions and help you become an important part of our operation. What is the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) at Thornell Road Elementary School? The PTSA at Thornell Road Elementary School is comprised of parents, teachers and students with the common goal of providing the best possible elementary school experience for the Thornell Road Elementary School community. The primary objective of the Thornell Road Elementary School PTSA, which is part of the Pittsford District PTSA, is to bring the home and the school into a close relationship so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently and effectively in all aspects of education for the youth of our community. We believe that education is the responsibility of both the home and the school. We value mutual respect and open communication. We encourage parental participation in decision making and in school activities. Parent input and assistance are invaluable components of our success. We function as a cooperative unit. Together all of us are here to make the best education available to our children. The overall atmosphere is characterized by caring, respect for self, respect for others, pride, self-discipline, business-like but comfortable conditions, friendly relationships and a neat and well-maintained facility. What are the objectives of our PTSA? - To provide quality programs that enrich the school experience for all Thornell Road Elementary School students.
